EPL Season 2016/2017

This weekend in English Premier League will witness another blockbuster clash beside the Manchester derby when defending Champions Leicester City travel to Anfield to clash with Liverpool. This match would be played on Saturday, September 10.

Season so far for Liverpool and Leicester

Liverpool seem to have picked up from where they finished their last season – brilliant in one match and ordinary in the next. They looked brilliant against Arsenal in the season opener but outright pathetic against Burnley in the very next game. Though they picked their game up and drew against Tottenham 1-1 in the last round, Jurgen Klopp must be worried about the inconsistent streak of his team. With four points in their kitty so far though, Liverpool are still lurking around the top contenders.

Leicester on the other hand have started their season in the worst possible manner with a loss against Hull in their opener. But they too have four points in their bag and look all set to resume their challenge to stay in the top six. Claudio Ranieri knows very well that if his side can stay in European qualification places, it would be a huge boost.

EPL 2016-2017 - Man Utd v Man City -Preview

It will be a cracking return from international break for English Premier league (EPL) as Manchester neighbors – United and City, come face-to-face at the Old Trafford stadium. This round four clash of the 2016-17 season will be played on Saturday, September 10.

The Season so far for Man Utd and Man City

Manchester United started their season in great fashion by winning all their three games so far. Impressive wins against Bournemouth and Southampton was followed by a nervy win over Hull City – thanks to a goal in ‘Fergie time’.

Manchester City aren’t far behind starting their Pep Guardiola revolution with a fortuitous victory over Sunderland. But they followed it up with wins over Stoke City and West Ham with an air of authority that should send the hopes of their supporters soaring high.

English Premier League 2016-2017 Week 4 Preview

As we move into the fourth matchday of English Premier League, there is so much to look forward to. We have previewed the Manchester derby and Liverpool versus Leicester clash separately. So it’s time to look at the rest of fixtures and catch the pulse of future.

Arsenal versus Southampton

A very interesting match between two sides that are struggling to live up to the expectations. The Gunners are formidable at home and the Saints have failed to defeat them away from home in the league in 29 years. The visitors are struggling to replace Mane who left the club in summer. Arsenal too had their teething problems and are yet to show any semblance of ‘Champion material’.

Tough to predict but this looks set for a stalemate.

Manchester City Season 2016-2017 Preview

Last season position: 4th

Prediction for this year: 1st

Odds: 2/1 with William Hill

‘Operation Pep Guardiola’ was started by Manchester City in 2012 and came to life in 2016. What remains to be seen this season is if, with the current squad, Pep can bring success both in Premier League and the Champions League.
